League Rules

1 - The Commissioner shall have the authority to interpret and enforce these rules in a manner consistent with the best interests of the league as a whole.  Changes to these rules (except as may be the result of interpretation) shall occur only after approval by a majority of active league owners.  Such approval shall be by vote, said vote to be administered by the Commissioner, in an appropriate manner selected by him.

2- The draft will consist of fifteen (15) rounds.  The order of selection shall be determined as follows: The four non-playoff teams will draft first through fourth (based on previous season record, lowest first); the four teams eliminated in playoff round one will draft fifth through eighth (based on previous season record, lowest first); the two teams eliminated in playoff round two will draft ninth and tenth (based on previous season record, lowest first); the Splendid Bowl runner-up will draft eleventh; and the Splendid Bowl winner will draft twelfth.  Ties for draft position will be broken as follows (in order): season record; head-to-head record (when possible); record within division (for teams in same dicvision); season total points scored; or coin toss.  Each owner must select enough players at each position to field a complete line-up in Week One (1).  A complete line-up consists of one (1) Quarterback, two (2) Receivers, one (1) Tight End, one (1) Running Back, one (1) Placekicker and one (1) team Defense. Players play at their listed position (s) on the depth chart of their NFL team.  If they are listed at more than one position, that owner may choose at which one they will play.

3 - If any owner is unable to participate in the draft, and if the matter is not otherwise provided for, the Commissioner will draft for the absent owner.  If more than one owner is absent, the Commissioner may designate any participating owner (s) to draft for additional absent owner (s).  When drafting for another owner, the best available player at each position shall be taken, as determined by the rankings found in any of the nationally published fantasy football magazines printed in and/or for that draft year, who are undrafted and/or unprotected at the time of their selection.  The order of selection shall be: QB, RB, WR, WR, QB, RB, WR, WR, RB, TE, PK, DF, TE, PK, DF.  If the absent owner has protected players from the previous year's roster, those positions will be dropped from the selection order beginning with the first available selection at each position.

4 - Teams may protect up to three (3) players from the previous season.  No more than one (1) player may be protected at a given position.  No player may be protected in consecutive seasons by the same team.  No traded player may be protected by his new team if ineligible for protection by his old team.  Teams surrender their highest available draft choice for each player protected.  The Commissioner shall be notified of all protected players no later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the start of that season's draft.  All unprotected players automatically go into the league draft pool.

5 - Weekly line-ups shall be submitted no later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the first scheduled NFL game of that week.

6 - WAIVERS, TRADES, DROPS AND ADDS:  Players may be dropped at any point in the season.  Players dropped after the start of the season are placed on the Waiver List for one (1) week.  If unclaimed after that time, they are free agents, available to all on a "first-come, first-served" basis.  The option to select from the Waiver List will be based on current standings, lowest first.  Ties (if any) will be broken based on previous season's draft order.  Once a team is awarded a player from the waiver list they have 24 hours to make room for him on their roster before the player becomes a free agent.

Players may not be traded after midnight of the Wednesday following Week Ten (10)Trades occur only after all owners involved announce their intent to make such trade.  Trades become official when they are announced, without regard to the date they take effect.  Players may not be acquired by any means after Midnight (CENTRAL TIME) of the Wednesday following Week Thirteen (13)Players who are not on either a roster or the Waiver List after Draft Day are free agents, as are players dropped prior to the start of the season.

7 - Protests will be handled in as timely a manner as possible.  Protest involving regular season games must be made within four (4) days of the game affected. Protests of post-season games must be made within forty-eight (48) hours of the game affected (exceptions will be considered for extenuating circumstances).  Corrections will include any change in standings or playoff qualification that may be required.

8 - SCORING - The winner of any game played shall be the team that scores the higher total points for that game.  In the case of tie scores, refer to Section 9 - Tie Breakers.  Six (6) points shall be awarded for each OFFENSIVE TOUCHDOWN involving one or more of your players, with points awarded for each player* so involved; three (3) points for each FIELD GOAL scored by one of your players; one (1) point for each P.A.T. KICK scored by one of your players; two (2) points for each P.A.T. PASS, RUN or RECEPTION involving one of your players, with points awarded for each player* so involved; six (6) points for each TOUCHDOWN scored by your Defense (kick and punt returns are considered defensive scores); two (2) points for each SAFETY scored by your defense; 1 point for each SACK by your defense; and 1 point for each PASS INTERCEPTION by your defense.  For scoring purposes, the entire defensive team is considered one player.  Offensive players in a team's line-up who score defensively (such as on a kick return) receive their individual score in addition to any score awarded to the defensive team.

(* If your line-up includes two or more players from the same NFL TEAM, who combine for a PASSING score, only six (6) total points per TOUCHDOWN, and two (2) total points per CONVERSION, are awarded to your team.

9 - TIE BREAKERS (in order):

GAME - Total Net Yards allowed by Defense (as shown in that game's box score on NFL.com - lower wins); RB yards rushing (higher wins); QB yards passing (higher wins); or Coin toss.

DIVISION STANDINGS - Regular season record; Division record; Head-to-head record; Total points scored, regular season (higher wins); or Coin toss.

PLAYOFF QUALIFICATION - Regular season record; Division record (for teams in same div. only); Head-to-head record; Total points scored, regular season (higher wins); or Coin toss.

Note:  When more than two (2) teams are tied for the same standing or qualification, tie-breakers will be applied until ONE (1) team is eliminated.  The process will then start FROM THE BEGINNING until the next team is eliminated, continuing as needed.

10 - PLAYOFF FORMAT - All Division Winners, all Division Runners-up (second place), and two Wild Cards (the two remaining teams with the best overall records) qualify for the playoffs.  Teams will be seeded based on regular season record, as follows: Division winners will be seeded 1, 2 and 3; Division Runners-up will be seeded 4, 5 and 6; and Wild cards will be seeded 7 and 8.  Ties for seeding will be broken, in order, by: Head-to-head record (when possible); Season total points scored (higher wins); or Coin toss.

ROUND ONE - Seeds 1 vs 8; 2 vs 7; 3 vs 6; and 4 vs 5.

ROUND TWO - Remaining seeds, using the same format as Round One (highest vs lowest).

CHAMPIONSHIP - The two remaining teams play in the Splendid Bowl.
